THE AWARD PROCESS
If your organisation is committed to advancing gender equity, we invite you to nominate and share the work you are doing to create meaningful change.
These awards highlight industries where the gender pay gap remains significant—often between 22–24%.
By recognising organisations and individuals doing better than the average, we aim to showcase practical leadership and inspire broader progress across Australian workplaces.
Could that be your organisation or team?
While organisations can nominate themselves, individual awards must be nominated by someone else.
As you nominate your organisation, consider the people within it who are truly driving change and helping to create more equitable workplaces.
Let’s shine a light on their impact.
How It Works
Step 1 – Nomination
Submit a nomination by selecting the most appropriate category and completing a short nomination form.
- Organisations may nominate themselves.
Individuals must be nominated by a colleague, peer, or leader.
Step 2 – Submission
Once nominations close:
Organisations
- Nominees will be notified and invited to confirm their nomination.
- They will then complete a submission outlining their leadership, initiatives, and impact in advancing gender equity.
Individuals
- Nominees will be notified and invited to confirm their nomination.
- They will then complete a submission outlining their leadership, initiatives, and impact in advancing gender equity.
The Judging Process
The Recalibrate Gender Equity Awards are independently judged by experienced corporate leaders and business professionals with expertise in leadership, governance, and diversity.
To ensure fairness and integrity:
- Judges cannot assess categories where their own organisation operates.
- Submissions are scored against predefined criteria aligned to recognised gender equity frameworks.
Judging occurs in two stages:
Stage 1 – Independent Review and Scoring
Each judge independently reviews and scores submissions.
Stage 2 – Independent Review by KPMG
All judging processes are independently reviewed by KPMG to ensure transparency and integrity.
Data collected in submissions will be used solely for the purposes of the Recalibrate Gender Equity Awards judging process.
